Coffee and Farm Freshness: Kamaama Estates,
A Mother's Legacy

Enjoy Kamaama Estates coffee, which offers a unique blend of quality and sustainability:

Traceability:

Our single-origin coffee ensures consistent cup quality, providing our customers with full traceability from bean to cup.

Empowering Women:

We prioritise the empowerment of women by predominantly employing them on our farm. During holidays, we provide opportunities for young adults to learn and earn, contributing to family income and community development.

Environmental Stewardship:

We maintain the natural landscape by preserving surrounding forests and wetlands while planting trees to shade our coffee plants, fostering a harmonious coexistence with nature.

Synergistic Approach:

Our integrated poultry and dairy sections use natural manure from poultry for our coffee plants, while coffee husks contribute to our poultry deep litter system. This sustainable approach reflects our commitment to environmental responsibility.

Coffee Village Initiative:

Our dedication extends to fostering a coffee village through our newly established coffee nursery. We provide certified quality seedlings to neighbouring farmers, contributing to the growth of the local coffee industry.

Award-Winning Coffee:

Our packed coffee has earned recognition in competitions like the Best of the Pearl. Over the past three years, our coffee consistently ranked among the top 5, achieving the 2nd position in last year's competition.

The farm Kamaama, which translates to "For Mother", is inspired by
Teddy Mary Kabasomi Amooti, who is also the brand image on our logo.

The logo was drawn from a hand drawn picture of Teddy Mary Kabasomi Amooti in 1967,
when she was an English undergraduate student at Makerere University,Uganda's largest and oldest university.

We honour her as our grandmother, but also as a trailblazer in our family and our community. In our family, Amooti is deeply revered for her wisdom, influence, and her exceptionally kind and generous nature, always open and eager to learn. To this day, as a guardian of vast cultural knowledge and wisdom, she still plays a vital role in the company's decision-making and in preserving our culture within our family and community. Her legacy and influence continue to inspire every aspect of our work and values.

Our Location

Situated 18 km south of Masaka city, in the largest coffee-producing region in Uganda, our estate is located in the area's hilly terrain and abundant lush vegetation. We thrive in a district renowned for its coffee and agricultural excellence. Fueled by the energy of the community and its youthful spirit, it provides numerous opportunities for growth and innovation. This makes it an ideal location for us, surrounded by opportunities to sell our coffee, dairy, eggs, and other farm produce from our estate.

Part of our estate is on elevated terrain, granting panoramic views of Lake Victoria in the distance.
